Austin was born in Eugene Oregon but moved to southern California shortly thereafter. By the time he was four years old, he found himself already immersed in the entertainment industry. He is still not sure how much he was consulted about the decision to begin acting, but has never fought the issue as he has enjoyed his life and childhood. He worked on commercial sets consistently until the age of nine, when he landed his first role in the major motion picture the Lawnmower Man. From there his career began to flourish as he went on to star in such films as Last Action Hero and My Girl 2. He landed a role as a series regular on the CBS drama Promised Land and relocated to Salt Lake City for a few years. When the show ended, Austin decided he wanted to go to college and spent the next 4 (ok so it was 5) years at Azusa Pacific University where he received his BS in Business Administration.  While in school, Austin worked on a few independent films .

Since graduating from APU, Austin has starred in several independent films and shorts and is proud to say that Nowhere Road was his first venture into the world of producing. While it was challenging, it was also extremely rewarding and he looks forward to his next victim. Austin has also taken up writing and is currently in the process of getting a few collaborative projects off the ground.
